FNATR P2S AMS Riser + Exhaust Fan Overview
Lower chamber heat for PLA, plus better top access
The P2S can run hot in real-world setups, and the chamber can sit in the mid‑40°C range during operation. For PLA and other low‑temperature filaments, sustained 40°C+ chamber air can increase the chance of softening, jams, and clogs.
Bambu Lab’s official External Exhaust Fan Kit is primarily an exhaust solution. By itself, it helps move air out, but it is not a dedicated cooling upgrade for low‑temp printing. This is why Bambu’s typical “cooling” add‑on is the Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan (a chamber-side 12W cooling fan) for better cooling conditions in high-speed printing.
In that context, an AMS riser with top exhaust becomes more effective and more convenient: heat naturally rises, so exhausting from the top is like a kitchen range hood. It can evacuate hot air upward more directly than relying only on colder air blowing inside. Separately, the riser also improves usability for an AMS-on-top setup by increasing clearance and reducing friction points around PTFE routing. This product is best positioned for users who print lots of PLA, run long jobs, or print in warmer rooms.
Key Features & Requirements
- Core keyword fit: built for the P2S “AMS riser” use case.
- Active, targeted heat exhaust: dedicated fans push hot chamber air out (effect depends on sealing and environment).
- PLA-focused stability: designed for low‑temperature filaments that are sensitive to heat soak.
- Improved top access: raises the top cover area for more comfortable servicing and handling.
- Third-party airflow path: FNATR’s own printed model and layout, separate from Bambu’s official rear exhaust approach
Product Description
Many P2S owners discover that chamber heat can climb into the mid‑40°C range during normal operation, which increases the risk of PLA softening, jams, and clogs. This FNATR P2S AMS riser is a top cover riser + active exhaust approach: it creates clearance at the top cover area and uses dedicated exhaust fans to push hot air out of the chamber. It is a third‑party solution that uses FNATR’s own printed model and airflow design. It does not reuse or plug into Bambu Lab’s official External Exhaust Fan Kit or its control logic. Results vary by ambient temperature, enclosure sealing, print profile, and filament.
Product Specification
- Compatibility: Bambu Lab P2S
- Use case: P2S AMS riser + active exhaust cooling
Better Than “Door Open”
Leaving the door open can reduce heat, but it also compromises enclosure stability and exposes the printer to dust and drafts. A riser with active exhaust aims to remove heat while keeping a more controlled printing environment. Results vary by setup.
Package Includes
- 1× quiet exhaust fan (USB-powered)
- 1× flange adapter / flange sleeve (for the riser exhaust port)
- 1× duct hose
- Screws and small mounting hardware (as needed)

FAQs about Exhaust Fan Kit for P2S AMS Riser (FNATR Flange Exhaust Upgrade)
Is this compatible with Bambu Lab’s official External Exhaust Fan Kit?
No. Bambu’s official kit is a rear exhaust solution that integrates with the printer’s air management system. This FNATR product is a separate top cover riser + fan exhaust approach using FNATR’s own printed model and airflow design.
How to Choose Title:This Exhaust-to-Window Kit vs FNATR Vent System
How to Choose Content:Think of this product as a window-exhaust option and FNATR Vent System as a no-window-needed option. You typically only need one:
- Choose this exhaust fan kit if you can route the exhaust to a window / outside and you want to vent hot air out of the room.
- Choose FNATR Vent System if you cannot exhaust to a window and you still want a practical ventilation solution.
They solve different constraints, so pick the one that matches your setup.

Found this shop on Reddit, chatted with a real person about the P2S filter I needed. Asked if they could ship to SG, they checked and made it happen! Super happy because this filter is basically impossible to find locally and always out of stock everywhere else. Fast, friendly, and solved my problem perfectly. Will buy again!

Bought a ventilation system but changed my mind last minute. I thought returns would be a huge hassle, but they told me there’s a return warehouse in Houston only about a 10-minute drive from where I live in Missouri City. Drove over and returned it super easily. Super convenient return process, great experience overall!

I’m still waiting for my fnatr to arrive but I wanted a decent riser for my P2S. I initially printed one that allowed the top lid to slide open but it would open on its own randomly making me absolutely crazy. I printed this in Bambulabs Translucent green PETG filament and rather than use the vent, I printed a 4th riser cover. It will allow me to put the vent away if I want to and still have a beautiful enclosure. I’m pretty stoked about this build. It looks fantastic as far as I’m concerned and it was a easy print. Not to mention how amazing the print looks with the light shining through. I love the modular feel of the print allowing me to put the vent wherever I want or if you don’t have a vent the riser just feels sturdy and snaps together easily.
This works great, I could now sleep beside the printer without dying to vocs. Maybe some supports should have been added, otherwise all great.
What is the dimension for: - Vent hole - Bolt holes for the fan attachment - Distance between the bolt hole for the fan attachment. Thanks!
Better idea, can you redesign this part, to include the hose adapter, so that one does not have to be added to the printed part (so It's all in one)? So that the printed part looks like this? Thanks
