Product Description
The X2D Filter is a reusable HEPA exhaust upgrade made to pair with the X2D Exhaust Fan Kit. Since the X2D already vents outward via the fan kit, you install this filter inside the fan kit so exhaust air passes through HEPA filtration, a molecular sieve core, and activated carbon to help reduce fumes, odors/VOCs, moisture, and particles during printing basic material like PLA & PETG. For ongoing use, regenerate the molecular sieve core at ≤60°C (140°F) for 4–6 hours to restore part of its adsorption performance.

What is the actual effect of low-temperature regeneration?
It only removes free water on the surface and in the pores, but cannot remove deeply bound water inside the molecular sieve.
Its adsorption capacity is generally restored to about 70%–80% of the original level.
Suitable for: daily light use, 3D printing filament moisture protection, short-term repeated use.

Before installing this external exhaust air filter, my printer’s chamber temperature would climb to around 42–43°C when printing PETG. After installing it, it stays much more stable at about 37°C.
One note for anyone trying to lower chamber temps: don’t install the filter cotton/pad. With the filter pad in place, the chamber temperature still goes up to about 40–41°C. Without it, the airflow works better and the temperature drop is more noticeable.
