It helps provide consistent first-layer adhesion across the entire surface—without the localized coating weak spots that can develop on plates where a logo is laser-marked after the coating is applied. Performance depends on materials and setup. The plate measures 257mm × 257mm, weighs 420 g (14.8 oz), and features a 0.6 mm code-marked thickness.

How long does this PEI plate usually maintain adhesion before glue is needed?

On many PEI plates with a surface logo, adhesion may become difficult to restore after about 2 months of 7/24 use, even with alcohol wiping or common plate cleaners, and users may need to start applying glue. With this PEI plate, the no post-coating laser-logo design helps reduce coating-stress risk, so the period before glue is typically needed can extend to around 3 months. Actual lifespan depends on filament type, print temperature, cleaning habits, and usage frequency.

What should I pay attention to during daily use?

A PEI plate relies on its micro-textured coating: when filament is heated, it slightly grips into the uneven surface to create adhesion. If the coating surface is covered with oil or fingerprints, the filament may not bond properly to the build plate. We recommend wearing gloves when removing prints and avoiding direct contact with the print surface. If the plate becomes oily, clean it promptly with dish soap and water, then dry it completely before printing.
