Product Description

The Bambu TPU Assist Module is designed to improve printing reliability with common TPU materials such as TPU 95A and, in suitable setups, around 90A TPU—not to make very soft TPU effortless. It works as a remote auxiliary feeding device: when tension builds during printing, the module automatically feeds a small amount of filament toward the printer to reduce pulling force on the extruder. This helps prevent TPU from being squeezed, deformed, or jammed inside the extruder, improving print success rates for flexible parts. When paired with a Bambu Lab TPU nozzle and a well-tuned filament path, it can also help support a moderately higher TPU flow rate. Results still depend on TPU hardness, dryness, routing, calibration, nozzle condition, and printer setup.

Does the Bambu Lab TPU Feed Assist Module work with AMS?

AMS automatic loading and unloading is not supported for this setup. You need an external spool holder. Where applicable, TPU can be routed through the AMS HT TPU outlet to help keep filament dry, but loading/unloading still needs to be handled manually according to the setup guide.

Do I need to print the housing or frame myself?

Yes. The kit includes the core electronic, mechanical, cable, connector, PTFE tube, and screw components, but the housing/frame must be 3D printed and assembled by the user. Follow the official Bambu Lab Wiki / MakerWorld guide and confirm the latest files before installation.
