This star-shaped PTFE tube is designed to help reduce feeding resistance for 1.75mm filament, especially TPU, in a straight guide path. It can also guide PLA and other compatible non-carbon-fiber filaments, so you do not need to replace this tube section when changing between supported materials. Avoid bending or kinking the tube: multiple bends can create more resistance than a standard round PTFE tube. Choose graphite-filled semi-transparent black or pure semi-transparent white PTFE, commonly called Teflon. Confirm connector fit and filament clearance before use.

This tube is for a straight TPU feeding path, not a route with several bends. In a straight run, the star-shaped profile is designed to help reduce TPU feeding resistance, though that result is not guaranteed in every setup. If the path bends more than once, a suitable round PTFE tube is the better choice, because bends can make this tube more resistant than a round one. You can keep the same straight section when you switch from TPU to PLA or another compatible non-carbon-fiber 1.75mm filament, but the tube does not change what your printer or filament switcher supports. For carbon-fiber-filled filament, choose a guide tube made for that material instead.

Is this PTFE tube only for TPU?
