Loose Screws from the Start:
On newer units, the hotend pad are often not properly tightened at the factory or become loose in transit. This explains why the problem seems random.

Pad Breakdown Over Time:
The adhesive in the original heating pads degrades with use and heat cycles. This causes the pad to delaminate, compromising thermal transfer.
