Kexcelled PAEK Filament Overview

Product Description

Kexcelled PAEK is an easy-to-print PEEK-class filament that brings high-performance PAEK printing to enclosed Bambu Lab printers such as X2D and H2D. Instead of requiring an extreme industrial heated chamber, it can be printed with a practical 50–65°C (122–149°F) chamber, plus a 340–380°C nozzle. As part of the same aromatic PAEK polymer family as PEEK and PEKK, it is designed for functional parts that need high heat resistance, strong chemical resistance, toughness, dimensional stability, low moisture sensitivity compared with many nylons, and reliable long-term mechanical performance in demanding engineering environments.

Why Choose PAEK/PEKK/PEEK Filament ?

PAEK stands for polyaryletherketone, a family of aromatic high-performance thermoplastics. Materials in this family, including PEEK, PEKK and PEAK are known for combining high heat resistance, chemical resistance, dimensional stability, toughness, and long-term mechanical performance. For users already printing Nylon, PA-CF, PPS, or similar engineering materials, moving to the PAEK family is usually about entering a higher performance tier: better resistance to heat aging, stronger chemical resistance against harsh environments, lower moisture sensitivity than many nylons, and more reliable functional performance in demanding industrial parts.

Key Features & Requirements

  • Suitable for jigs, fixtures, brackets, housings, tooling aids, and small-batch engineering parts that need to work beyond standard Nylon/PPS use cases
  • Helps produce parts for hotter operating environments, such as near motors, heated chambers, electronics, or production equipment
  • Useful for parts exposed to oils, fuels, solvents, cleaning agents, or demanding industrial environments where common filaments may soften, swell, or lose strength
  • Suitable for enclosed Bambu Lab platforms such as X2D and H2D. For X1 / P1S / P2S users, you may achieve the required chamber temperature by installing chamber heater

Balanced Comparison vs Traditional PEEK

- Similar material tier: PAEK and traditional PEEK both belong to the PAEK high-performance polymer family, so the key advantages are broadly similar: heat resistance, chemical resistance, dimensional stability, toughness, and long-term functional use.
- Easier printing workflow: Kexcelled PAEK is easier to process, with a 340–380°C nozzle and 50–65°C heated chamber, while many traditional PEEK filaments require around 370–420°C / 390–420°C nozzle temperatures and stricter industrial printing conditions.
- Where it is lower before annealing: Based on the current TDS data, tensile strength and flexural strength are lower than some traditional PEEK references. Kexcelled PAEK shows 60–62 MPa tensile strength and 90–100 MPa flexural strength in the tested printed state.

Important test note: The current comparison is based on printed test specimens without post-crystallization / annealing comparison. After proper post-crystallization, PAEK-family materials can move closer to traditional PEEK-level performance, so the lower tensile/flexural values should be understood as printed-state data, not the final ceiling of the material.

FAQs about PEEK Filament for Bambu Lab Printers | Kexcelled PAEK

What is the Difference between PAEK and PEEK ?

PAEK means polyaryletherketone, a broader family of high-performance polymers. PEEK means polyether ether ketone, which is one specific member of the PAEK family. So PEEK belongs to the PAEK family, but not all PAEK materials are PEEK.

How do I anneal / post-crystallize printed Kexcelled PAEK parts?

For functional parts that need higher crystallinity, better dimensional stability, and improved heat/mechanical performance, post-crystallization can be done in a temperature-controlled oven. Place the printed part in an air-circulating oven, support it if needed to reduce warping, then heat slowly to about 150°C (302°F) and hold for 1–2 hours for stress relief. Then raise slowly to about 200°C (392°F) and hold for 2–4 hours, depending on part size and wall thickness. Cool down slowly inside the oven, ideally below 140°C (284°F) before opening, to reduce internal stress and deformation. Large or high-precision parts should use slower heating/cooling rates and may need fixtures, because annealing / post-crystallization can cause shrinkage or warping. Always validate with a small test part before using this process for final components.

  • Found this shop on Reddit, chatted with a real person about the P2S filter I needed. Asked if they could ship to SG, they checked and made it happen! Super happy because this filter is basically impossible to find locally and always out of stock everywhere else. Fast, friendly, and solved my problem perfectly. Will buy again!

  • Bought a ventilation system but changed my mind last minute. I thought returns would be a huge hassle, but they told me there’s a return warehouse in Houston only about a 10-minute drive from where I live in Missouri City. Drove over and returned it super easily. Super convenient return process, great experience overall!
