The included circuit board adds the P2S exhaust mode. The printer can then run external exhaust automatically, including post-print extraction, instead of only internal circulation.

It switches mode by filament type. For ABS and nylon, choose exhaust after printing so the chamber can hold its heat during the job, then clear residual air.

This P2S exhaust kit adds active external exhaust to the Bambu Lab P2S, which otherwise only recirculates chamber air through its internal carbon filter. The included circuit board unlocks printer-controlled exhaust, including automatic filament modes and post-print extraction for ABS and PA. It fits both rear panels, but the updated panel is more efficient and is not included. A P2S without AMS needs a separate buffer. Do I need a new rear panel?

Not if your P2S already has the updated rear panel. A printer bought after May 2026 should already have it: a sticker covers the small grilles. A printer bought before May 2026 may have the original panel, which has no sticker or external exhaust port. Both panels can take this fan kit, but the updated panel exhausts more efficiently. Can I use this kit if my P2S has no AMS?

You need a separate buffer accessory. This fan kit does not include it. After installation, reconnect the filament buffer, or the exhaust option may not appear

Are the filter and exhaust duct included?

No. The kit includes the fan, circuit board, 6-pin cable, screws, and foam. The filter cartridge and duct are separate. Some housing parts also need to be printed.

Will the fan pull heat out during ABS prints?

For ABS and nylon, choose exhaust after printing so the chamber can hold its heat during the job, then clear residual air. You can also set the mode on the screen, in Bambu Studio, or in Bambu Handy. Chamber temperature still depends on your setup.

A bit of a hassle to set up, but super easy to use once installed. For only $25, it’s great value—but honestly, it should really be included for free.

Perfect! Strong airflow, completely eliminates odors—feels so much safer and more reassuring right away.

Running exhaust 24/7 for ABS and ASA printing

I bought the fan kit and keep it exhausting air outside 24/7. I also added two air purifiers inside the room. With 10 printers running ABS and ASA every day, I take air handling seriously. Whenever I go in, I wear a KP95 mask, and when I leave, I close the door right away. For a setup like this, having external exhaust makes a lot of sense.

Simple setup for better exhaust airflow

I bought the external exhaust kit and removed the internal filter to increase airflow. For chamber temperature, I use an additional device instead. That setup solves what I need: stronger exhaust airflow and separate chamber temperature control.
